CT guided biopsies

Elective admission to Ambulatory care unit – needs consent / check bloods

Consent to be done on ACU – request a senior to do if you have not been trained

Coag screen (within past 4/52)

Will be kept for observation for 4 hours post procedure.

Post procedure CXR – r/o pneumothorax. Will often need handover to on call team. Contact a consultant/SpR in case of a pneumothorax

Usually discharged same day

Try and observe at least 1 !
